Very sad news. The one time I met him he seemed like a very good person. At least he went quick and maybe suffered less. I'll always remember the funny pm's he'd send me out of the blue. Let's all remember the fun with Tob, and not dwell on the negative, I'm sure he'd rather that be the case.

this is definately a very sad for Gate City football, Tob was one of the first true Blue Devil fanatics I ever met, matter of a fact I don't think that he missed a game since I was a freshman ( 1993 ) for sure, and probably longer than that. Tob was a great guy and a great friend. He will be remembered by me and I pray that his wife and family are consoled by the lord. God Bless You Tob! Although I never met Tob, he always came across as a great person. One thing that wasnt hard to notice, is that his blood ran GC blue. He'll definatly be missed on this forum. Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

Ole tob will surely be missed. I was never at a GC game that he wasn't there cheering the Devils on. If you can fault a man for supporting what he loves I guess you could fault Ole Tob for loving the Devils. The most important thing is that he had made things right with the Lord before he passed on.

I, also, never knew him personally. But from his posts he did seem like a genuinely good hearted person who just happened to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, fanatics of GC football. And even though you didn't know him, you had to repect his pride in his team and in his community. He may not be with us any longer, but I'll bet he'll still be watching those games every fall. My prayers and thoughts go out to his wife, family, and friends. God bless you all!!
